Covering 16.9 acres on a knoll overlooking the junction of the Kettle and Granby River valleys. The homes built by the Doukhobor people are based on the same design brought with to Canada in 1899. The structure is a two story structure. The kitchen and dining room are on the main floor, with small bedrooms on the second floor. The Doukabor’s grew most of their own food for a vegetarian diet. The village were self-sufficient, and everything made by hand. Economic times forced the closure and sale of the villages and their associated lands.〔
